UPSC Civil Services Examination

Union Public Services Commission conducting Civil Services Examination for recruitment of IPS, IAS, IFS Group ‘A’ & ‘B’. As further exam syllabus, eligibility detail, age detail is listed as follows:

Detail Eligibility: Applicants must do graduation in any discipline from recognized university, final year awaited applicants are also eligible to apply.


Age Detail: Applicant’s age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

Syllabus

For Paper I:
Environment: (General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change etc.), Geography :( Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World), General Science, Economics :( Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.), Indian History: (History of India and Indian National Movement), Indian Politics: (Constitution, Political System, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.)

For Paper II:
Comprehension         , English Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability, General Mental Ability & Basic Numeracy, Decision Making & Interpersonal Skills.

Civil Services Examination is only paper based and consists of following two (2) stages:
Pre Exam (MCQs): General Studies & CSAT.
Main Exam:  Written and Interview.

Essential Dates:
Pre (Preliminary) Examination date: May 26th 2013
Mains Examination date: December 01st 2013

Applying Procedure: Eligible and interested applicants have to make registration in official sit, by filling all essential / personal detail and lastly make payment and submit application form online.


Form Fee: Examination fee is Rs. 100/- only for all male candidates. No fee has to pay reserved (women/ SC / ST / Physically Handicapped) category candidates.
