Notice for Admissions session- 2013
Course Detail: Doctor
of Philosophy (PhD)
Admission Eligibility Detail: Candidate done Master’s degree with minimum
55% of marks from government recognized university or degree in relevant
subject in which candidates wants to pursue a programme of research / in
subject allied.
Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 1,000/- in form of
Demand Draft (DD).
DD is in favor of The Registrar, Jamia Millia
Islamia payable at Delhi/ New Delhi.
Admission Procedure:
Applied candidates will shortlist as per
eligibility, if any candidates not full fill eligibility criteria will not

Selected candidates list will notify in Faculty/ Centre/ Department &
official website of the university.
Applying Detail: Application form download from official site
that is www.jmi.ac.in, and follow the important guideline as mentioned in
official site.
Application form along with DD (demand draft)
should be send to the Centre concerned.
Some candidates have not to give entrance test
such as: Candidates with JRF examination/ CSIR
NET/ UGC or equivalent exam from recognized Institute/ Agency/ Governmental
Department/ SLET/ Agency/ valid GATE score card/ M. Phil. Programme from
recognized Institute/ university.
Entrance Test Mode: Entrance test shall be in English.
Paper Pattern: Written examination is of 3 hours and
classified in two categories such as Part ‘A’ and Part ‘B’.
Candidates who qualified in written entrance
will call for interview.
