The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST)
offers undergraduate (B.Tech.), master's (M.Tech.) and Ph.D. programs in space

2007 by G. Madhavan Nair, the then Chairman of ISRO.

(JEE) Main for admission in Bachelor of Technology.

Procedure for Admissions: Applicants get admission through All India Rank List
(including category rank list) to be prepared & which was conducted by
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) published for the year 2013.
Through ranking applicants get selected. Rank is based on
score in the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main of 60% weight age & in
Class 12th/ other qualifying exam of 40% weight age. Ratio is of 60:40.

Bachelor of Technology
Aerospace Engineering: Space technology, Mechanical Engineering, including
Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Sciences, and Space Dynamics.
Avionics: Electronics and Communications Engineering programmes, Advanced
Electronics in Digital Communication, Control Systems and Computer Systems used
in Aerospace Systems.
Physical Sciences: Basic sciences in Space Science and Technology, applications
of space technology such as Remote Sensing and GIS, Astronomy and Astrophysics,
and Earth System Sciences.

visiting official website of IIST.

Fee deposit last date:
July 12th 2013.
Closing date of
receipt of the Bank Challan/ DD by the Institute is: July 15th 2013.

Before filling
application form applicants have to read prospectus carefully.
In order to fill
application form, make sure that internet connection is properly working &
printer is attached with main computer.
After registration
applicants have to enter JEE Mains Roll Number & JEE Advance roll number.
Application form fee: Male applicants have
to pay Rs 600 (Gen or OBC category) & female applicants have to pay Rs
300/- .
If applicants are belonging to reserved category (SC/ST/PD )
then he/she have to pay Rs 300/-.
Fee payment is done any branch of State Bank of India or
Union Bank of India in India.
Fee payment is done through Demand draft in favour of, THE
REGISTRAR, IIST.
